Description

The main components of the torque sensor include a measuring shaft with a precision strain gauge, a rotating electronic device with a secondary coil and an optical transmission ring. The strain gauge bridge is powered by a rotary transformer. The torque applied at both ends of the shaft produces mechanical strain, which is measured by the strain gauge bridge circuit. An output signal is obtained from the bridge, proportional to the applied torque. The voltage converted into a frequency conversion signal is transmitted to a receiver in the stator via an infrared LED. As an option, a conditional rectangular output voltage of 5V is available for direct further processing of the Angle or speed of the rotating signal through electronics integrated into the sensor. Use couplings to avoid axial lateral forces and bending moments caused by parallel or angular deviations.
